FORMATION & SUPPORT
In 2025, three paid apprentices worked there each month, for 20 days per month at
USD 15 per day (USD 300 per month). Their stipends are funded by the Back to Life
initiative, in collaboration with local master artisans who lead the training. This initial
core group of beneficiaries foreshadows a replicable model that can be scaled up in
2026.
To meet Iraq’s concrete reconstruction needs, the vocational training programs were
expanded and updated. The trades offered align with the key sectors essential to
rebuilding the country.
