In addition to vocational training, the Back to Life program in partnership with the
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) developed an entrepreneurship
module designed to support participants in creating and managing independent
income- generating activities.
This module enables beneficiaries to acquire the practical foundations needed to run a
viable project: basic bookkeeping, micro-budget management, analysis of local market
needs, structuring an offer, and organizing services.
It is aimed at participants enrolled in the various training pathways (sewing, phone
repair, hairdressing, electrical work, and other trades offered through the program).
The goal is to turn newly acquired technical skills into sustainable sources of income,
adapted to the local context and able to support household needs. The partnership with
UNDP strengthens this approach by directly linking training, economic self-reliance,
and local integration.
Through this module, Back to Life makes a tangible contribution to the economic
recovery of Sinjar and to strengthening a local economy weakened by years of conflict
and displacement.
