Learning English At Our Cham Mushko Center

Our 4 ‘Back to Life’ centers regularly cooperate with local and international partners in order to provide vital aid to the Yazidi survivors in the camp. For example, on the 22 January 2020, the Brazilian NGO ‘The Restoration Act’, in collaboration with the HIVI Group, visited our Cham Mushko center to provide an English curriculum workshop. We would like to thank them for their help!

Access to English is a key to the future for the survivors. We are delighted to be able to offer English courses to the staff of the Cham Mushko camp as well, who had requested access to such courses. We aim to develop these activities over the coming months.

Life At Our Centers

Our Back to Life centers at the Kadia, Cham Mushko and Kabartu IDP camps in northern Iraq provide crucial support to people in need. Orphaned children, women freed from sexual slavery and adolescents brainwashed with a nefarious ideology forced on them without their consent are all provided with essential psychological and educational support. This includes a focus on literacy, sport, crafts and one on one sessions with our specially trained psychologists. Our long-term scheme will help these victims come to terms with their suffering and provide them with a path to a brighter future.

Exhibition at the United Nations, October 2017

In October 2017, we were very honored to continue our fight for justice for the Yazidi people at the United Nations in New York. Thank you to all those who attended the opening of our Action Yazidis exhibition. Thank you to Ambassadors François Delattre (France), Christoph Heugsen (Germany), Matthew Rycroft (UK), Mohamed Ali Alhakim (Iraq) and Sima Sami Bahous (Jordan) for their patronage. A special thanks also goes to Tom Kaplan and the Counter Extremism Project for making this event possible. We hope our work will encourage action for the Yazidi people!
